Paris in winter is just as you would imagine it; festive, romantic, quiet, and as always a wonder for the taste buds. With a friend’s wedding bringing us to the coast of France to ring in 2018, we took advantage of our close proximity to La Ville Lumière (City of Light) and extended our overseas trip. In partnership with Kiwi Collection,  the world’s largest curated collection of luxury hotels, we were thrilled to stay at one of our favorite places, Hotel de Nell, for a relaxing weekend. Tucked away in the 9th arrondissement, the hotel is perfectly appointed for exploring the city, and is an oasis of tranquility off of the main city streets after a long day of sightseeing. We were so grateful to return to our beautiful suite and Japanese-style soaking tub at the end of every day.

Being our 4th time Paris, we were eager to experience a variety of activities in addition to our usual (and always) incredible stroll through Le Marais. After a stop at one of the many boulangeries for a pastry, we visited the stunning Museé Rodin and made our way back to the 9th along The Seine as a light drizzle of rain began to fall. We finished off our final evening in Paris with an unforgettable dining experience at La Pagode de Cos, La Réserve’s second restaurant overseen by Executive Chef Jérôme Banctel.  Set in an elegant Wes Anderson-esque dining room detailed with ornate woodwork and beautiful silk upholstery, we were swept away on a culinary journey of seasonal cuisine. From beginning to end, it was an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
